The Kalka-Shimla toy train, officially known as the Kalka-Shimla Railway, is a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow-gauge railway that connects the town of Kalka with the highland city of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, India. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a picturesque journey through the Shivalik foothills of the Himalayas.

  • Kufri is located 16 km from Shimla

  • From Shimla, take a taxi (₹800-1200 round trip) or local bus to Kufri
  • Journey time to Kufri: Approximately 30-40 minutes by road
