Choosing a family resort in Kufri starts with the sleeping arrangement and room access, not an activity list. Tell the property every traveller’s age, ask how each person will sleep, and confirm whether one room, two nearby rooms or a suite is suitable for your dates. An “extra guest allowed” description does not tell you whether an extra bed is included.

One room, two rooms or a suite?

A single room can be convenient for a smaller family if its permitted occupancy and confirmed bedding meet your needs. Two rooms can provide separate sleeping spaces for a larger group, but ask about their location before booking. A suite may have more than one area without having a separate bedroom or an additional bed. Request the actual layout rather than relying on the category name.

Connecting rooms and adjacent rooms are different

Connecting rooms have an internal doorway between rooms. Adjacent rooms may simply be next to one another and require going into the corridor. If your family needs an internal connection, make that specific request. Do not treat “nearby”, “same floor” or “subject to availability” as a confirmed connecting-room booking.

Ask whether proximity can be confirmed before payment or is only a request for allocation on arrival. If rooms cannot be guaranteed together, decide whether the alternative arrangement is acceptable for your family. Ask what “extra bed” actually means

  • Is it a rollaway bed, sofa bed or floor mattress?
  • Is bedding included in the quoted room total?
  • Can that arrangement be accommodated in the exact category?
  • What occupancy is permitted, including children?
  • Is there usable space around the bed once it is set up?
  • Do additional guests receive the same meal inclusions?

Share children’s ages rather than describing everyone as “kids”. Room occupancy, meal charges and bedding policies can differ. If a cot is important, confirm whether one is available and can be reserved; do not assume a family-labelled room includes it.

Room access matters for a multigenerational stay

Ask about the route from the vehicle drop-off point to reception, reception to the room, and the room to dining. Confirm any steps, lift arrangements, walking distances and bathroom details that matter to your group. A property-level answer can overlook differences between room blocks or floors.

Plan fewer fixed activities and more usable time

Keep arrival day flexible. Check in, settle the room arrangement and decide whether everyone wants an outing. For the main sightseeing day, choose a priority stop and one optional addition rather than scheduling every attraction. Confirm transport and a return plan before leaving. Children and grandparents may prefer different paces, so allow an option to return to the hotel.

A family booking message you can use

“Our family would like to stay from [dates]. We have [adults], children aged [ages], and need [sleeping arrangement]. Please suggest a suitable room category or rooms, confirm occupancy and exact bedding, explain whether rooms together can be guaranteed, and list child and extra-bed charges. We also need to know about [steps/lift/bathroom/dining requirement]. Please provide the final total, meal inclusions and cancellation terms.”

Should you book a room first and request an extra bed later?

If the bedding arrangement is essential, settle it before booking. A later request may not be possible in that category or on those dates.

Does “family-friendly” confirm supervised activities?

No. Ask about the actual service, operation, age requirements, supervision and any charge. Do not assume childcare is provided.
